Our goal is to provide you the best possible hearing care, based upon your individual needs. We provide a comprehensive array of services related to prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation of hearing impairment.
Dr. Kirsh is the Director of the Center with over 20 years of hearing care experience. Dr. Kirsh received a B.A. in Biopsychology from the University of Maryland, a Master’s of Education (Audiology) from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in Audiology from the Union Institute and University. Dr. Kirsh has received his Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). Dr. Kirsh completed a fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, has multiple publications, and has received numerous continuing education awards from both ASHA and AAA. Dr. Kirsh is currently a Founder and Director for Audigy Group and has previously served on the Sonus Network advisory board. Dr. Kirsh’s wife, Shira Kirsh, is a Speech-Language Pathologist in private practice at Alliance Speech & Hearing Center (Howell, N.J., 732-942-7220)-an affiliate of GSHBC. Dr. Kirsh has two beautiful children, Melanie and Joseph.
Dr. Berth received her B.S. from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and a Doctorate of Science (ScD) in Audiology from Montclair State University. Dr. Berth has received her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). Dr. Berth is a member of the local New Jersey Chapter of ASHA and The New Jersey Hearing Health Professional Group (NJHHP). Dr. Berth was awarded a fellowship from the VA of East Orange, NJ and with Family Hearing Centers. Dr. Berth is currently involved with research at Cuny University. Dr. Berth is married to her husband Kevin and they currently have two beautiful twin boys, Logan and Carter, and 2 cocker spaniels named Flint and Cosmo. Dr. Berth will be a great asset to our patients with her enthusiastic approach to a better hearing world.
Dr. Boyer has been a board certified Audiologist and licensed hearing aid dispenser for 14 years. She has worked in both private practice and hospital settings with the pediatric and adult populations. Dr. Boyer obtained her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University, her Masters from Trenton State College and completed under graduate work at the University of Rhode Island. She has received her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech–Language–Hearing Association (ASHA) , is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and was awarded a fellowship at the VA Hospital in Brick, NJ . Dr. Boyer has extensive training through the National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management from Utah State University in Pediatrics. She is involved with the Newborn hearing program for two Ocean County Hospitals and is a proponent of early identification of hearing loss in infants. Her Audiological interests are vestibular assessment and the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss in children.
Dr. Rennert received her B.A. (Audiology and Speech/Language Pathology) and M.S. (Audiology) degrees from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and my Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the Pennsylvania School of Optometry, School of Audiology. She holds a certificate of clinical competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She completed a fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and gained valuable experience working with a very diverse population ranging from pediatric through geriatric. Prior to joining GSHBC, she was fortunate to have worked in various settings including two large medical centers, academia and private practice. Dr. Rennert has over 18 years of hearing health care experience. She is married to her husband Eric and has 3 beautiful children.
Sharon has been affiliated with Garden State Hearing for over 10 years. She is married to her husband, Dave and has a daughter, Jessica.
Melisa has been working at Garden State Hearing for over 5 years. She is married to her husband Jim and recently welcomed a new baby boy Ryan. They also have an adorable dog – Patches.
Annette has been affiliated with Garden State Hearing for over 10 years. She is married to her husband Tom and has two children, Michael and Rachel.
Jennifer joined Garden State in April 2010, and has been a part of Southern Ocean Medical Center since 2004. She has worked with patients in various hospital departments, beginning with Case Management and spanning to Admissions, Radiology, and the Out-Patient Clinic. She is currently pursuing her degree in Health Services Administration at Drexel University. Jennifer lives with her husband Erik, and both look forward to starting a family in the future. Jennifer lives with her husband Erik, and both are very excited to be adding a little boy to their family.
Annemarie C. Pepitone grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her Associates Degree in early childhood education. Annemarie isn’t just an employee but also is a patient here at Garden State Hearing for a slight hearing loss and proudly wears a hearing aid. She is married to her husband Timothy and lives with their dog, Brick Top. Annemarie will be a pleasant addition to the team at GSHB with her ability to personally relate to our patients and help guide them in their journey for better hearing health.
Kimberly Richards, our resident Audiologist, joined Garden State Hearing in May 2011. She recently moved to Toms River from Morgantown, West Virginia. Kim received her B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University in 2008. She is currently completing her fellowship year at Garden State Hearing and will receive her Doctorate of Audiology in May 2012. Kim holds certificates in the fields of Gerontology and Disability Studies and served as a graduate research assistant for 3 years while at WVU. She also served as President of the WVU Chapter of the Student Academy of Audiology, and is a member of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the West Virginia Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Kim’s new found hobby is relaxing at the beach while reading a good book and hopes to encompass all that the shore area has to offer. Kim is very excited about starting a new chapter of her life in New Jersey with her boyfriend Mike and looks forward to serving the patients here. Garden State Hearing welcomes Kim and looks forward to having her help our patients with their hearing and balance needs.
